Shame and Pride in Football Fandom

Based on the theoretical framework of Shame/Violence intriduced by James Gilligan, this chapter examines the case of PAOK F.C., a popular football fan club situated in Northern Greece. The material used for the exploration of the PAOK F.C. universe derive from the ethnographic work I had undertaken fwith one of the most dynamic fan clubs, Gate 4, or G4.
